Drawing room

Two sets of French doors open onto terraces that run the length of the chateau on the South side and two sets of French doors open onto the North side. There are several sofas and armchairs gathered around an open fireplace. In one corner of this room is a little bar area with a drinks fridge and sink. This is easy access onto the North facing terrace for drinks.

Dining room

The dining room seats 11 people comfortably. With French doors onto the Southern terrace. The dining room is accessed off the main hallway and from the kitchen.

The Kitchen

A large, well equipped family kitchen. Two large fridge freezers, a mixer, toaster, blender, kettle, dishwasher, double sink and ice maker. Very large double oven with 7 gas rings of varying sizes. A huge quantity of cutlery, crockery, glassware and kitchen utensils. There is a cafetiere and milk frother. Kitchen table seats 6 people. From the kitchen there is access upstairs and to one of 3 downstairs loos. Access out on to the south facing terrace.

Billiards room – Full size billiards table.

This is an incredible room measuring 21m in length. It has windows facing North, South and West and features a card table, several sitting areas, a bar, a dance floor and a first floor covered balcony / terrace with views South towards the Pyrenees. There is an electric piano.

Closest to the Chateau and adjoining the swimming pool is The Cochonerie. Entered through French windows into its living room.  It has an open wood burning fire and the seating area one end and a desk area at the other. There is a small washroom in one corner.

Steps descend to a kitchen of similar size. Well fitted with units on two sides it has a dishwasher, a tall fridge with freezer in its bottom half, gas cooker (3 burners and an electric hob) and an oven. There is also a washing machine and a fridge. There is a small TV.  French windows open onto a small dining/breakfast terrace which in turn looks onto its own small olive Grove.

A WC adjoins the kitchen

Stairs ascend to a mezzanine floor running the full length of the building. Here is a double bedroom with double bed (1.98m wide x 2m). It has its own ensuite bathroom with bath, WC and wash basin.

A short walk (c50 m) down the lawn to the South of the Chateau is The Bergerie.

French windows enter straight into a bedroom/sitting room. Here there is a double bed (1.56m x 2m). There is an open fire in the corner of the room adjoining its small sitting room area.

There is a walk in shower, WC and wash basin adjoining/ ensuite.

A small simple kitchenette comprises sink, fridge and simple coffee making facilities.

Separate French windows open onto a loggia terrace with superb views to the Pyrenees.

Stone pillars signal the entrance drive and approach to the Chateau.

The drive ascends past a lake and semi open oak woodland area on one side. On the other side are views to the nearer valleys with the Pyrenees beyond.

At the top of the drive is a small private Chapel surrounded by cedar trees marking the highest point of the property. Beyond this the Chateau is situated on the same elevation with glorious 360° views. The peaks of the Pyrenees are clearly visible over the nearest hills.

The main Chateau is surrounded by extensive lawns allowing joyous space and unlimited freedom for children to play and let off steam. It enjoys wonderful and far reaching views in all directions.

The footprint of the Chateau is itself framed by a wide patio. On this are placed various seating, dining and relaxing areas and a generous array of terra cotta pots with colourful display of scented flowers and an arresting selection of sculptures, mostly in the feminine form. The patio is afforded shade from various ornamental trees and sanctuary from sun or wind at all hours of the day whilst allowing outstanding views to the country beyond – perhaps most impressively to the snow capped Pyrénées in the South.

The highest point of the garden is dominated by a small family Chapel once a focal point for church gatherings from the locality and now still a landmark but a place of simple spiritual sanctuary.

Just to the south east corner of the Chateau and sheltered by an evergreen hedge on one side and the Cochonerie on another is the heated swimming pool. This measures 13m by 6m . The pool is entered by built in steps on two sides into the shallow end of the swimming pool.

There is a loggia overlooking the pool with a round dining table. A pool room adjoins with a WC and shower.

A generous patio area surrounds the pool with sun lounges and parasols. The view from the South side of the pool is open save for a row of four olive trees.

Pool towels are provided and pool heating is included.

The swimming pool has a hard plastic cover that must be shut when the swimming pool is unattended by an adult.

Only a few yards beyond the swimming pool is a superb tennis court recently (2025) resurfaced and repainted. The views from the tennis court are also most impressive.

There are a selection of rackets and balls for guests to use.
