"We had a fantastic time at La Bourdette, fourteen of us on a multigenerational family holiday, and would recommend it without hesitation. The house is genuinely impressive and almost exactly as described: big, comfortable and wonderfully spacious. We had so much room that a couple of bedrooms went unused. The kitchen is excellent, and there are endless spots to sit, eat, drink and relax. It gets warm in summer, as everywhere in France does, but there are fans throughout and it was never an issue. The outdoor space is where we spent most of our time, and it's superb. The pool is a great size, equally good for kids leaping about or adults swimming lengths, with plenty of loungers, and the pool house was perfect for drifting between swimming, sport and lazing around. The table tennis was a huge hit with the children, and the grounds, tennis court and basketball hoop meant there was always something to do. We were more than happy simply staying put at the house. The guardians, Roland and Petra, who look after the property, were utterly wonderful. We rarely needed anything, but whenever we did they were quick, warm and endlessly helpful. Roland even took the kids on the quad bike. Emily, who managed the booking, was just as responsive and full of great guidance, and the house book answers almost everything anyway. When we did venture out, we enjoyed the Friday market in Foix, the underground river boat tour nearby, and the many water parks in the area, which delighted adults and children alike. For food, the boulangerie in Daumazan-sur-Arize is fantastic, Chez Flo does excellent pizzas, and we had a superb meal at Le Tomate du Jardin. We also booked Dominique, a private chef listed in the house book, whose food was lovely, dinner ran slightly behind schedule, but that took nothing away from a delicious evening. A brilliant spot for a big family gathering. Five stars."

"We rented the beautiful La Bourdette through Anglo French Properties for a family holiday. Jack was a delight to deal with and from start to finish the service we received was excellent. No question too silly, no request too much. The house itself was a little slice of heaven. Beautiful well cared for grounds, and a very helpful housekeeping couple on site to answer any question we had. The property was well equipped with every entertainment you can imagine, swings (including a baby swing), tennis, hammocks, boule, pool, table football just to name a few. The interior was also brilliant and very well equipped. Our multi generational holiday was made by this brilliant property. We will definitely be booking again. "Wow, what a villa, what a location and voted the best villa we have ever stayed in by our 16 strong family over the last 15 years. That’s quite something but richly deserved in every sense. The villa is very spacious, huge kitchen which is so well equipped, two outdoor eating areas for lunch or dinner, really comfortable beds with large bedrooms, one of the very best swimming pools we have experienced and a tennis court thrown in! The setting is simply magnificent, the extensive private estate a joy for adults and children alike with mown pathways through it all. And so much equipment provided, tennis rackets and balls, boules for the boules court (another bonus) , table tennis, volleyball and football nets, darts and a football table if you can’t manage to do the real thing. Anglo French Properties were a joy to deal with, so professional, helpful but incredibly warm and friendly. The couple who live on site were simply fantastic, so nice and helpful and the best to date and in the two weeks we were there grew quite a close bond if that makes sense. In short, more than a memorable experience and our children and grandchildren already saying please can we go back. We hope so not just because of the little time we had in that paradise but because of so much else to do locally, whether markets or shopping. Truly, as Anglo French Properties say, an extraordinary home and and an exceptional holiday. "

"We rented a wonderful house, La Bourdette, through them and if anything it was better than described and pictured on the website. It made for a fantastic holiday which was at times, filled with friends and at other times with 3 generations of our family. La Bourdette is in a non-touristy area which gave one an experience of real France. The resident guardians are also a real boon; they are very friendly and could not have done more to help. Jack who heads Anglo French and handled our booking was brilliant - highly efficient, patient in answering our many questions, yet friendly."

"It is home from home and easily accommodated us ,our four adult children, their spouses and seven grandchildren. There was nothing more we could have wanted for and it is testament to the place that we rarely felt the need to venture out. The property guardians Roland and Petra were charming and went well beyond what was expected and made our stay even more enjoyable. Your pre trip briefing was exemplary and the attention to detail left nothing unanswered. We availed ourselves of the catering from Dominique on alternate evenings and can only recommend. "Anglo French Properties did a great job for us. Our family group of 16 had an outstanding holiday at La Bourdette in July 2022. Despite the uncertainties of the last 2 years, AFP managed to get our family holiday transposed from dream to reality. This included change of ownership of the property as well as endless alterations to travel arrangements by our family - coming from different parts of the world. The success of the holiday was as much due to our trust and confidence that Jack understood our needs and had our interests at heart, as the facilities and location of the villa. It goes without saying that the facilities at the villa are exceptional, so much so that in the 7 days we hardly left the villa to explore the locality - apart from buying food. I can thoroughly recommend Jack and am confident that he will always give you a prompt, efficient and courteous service; and that is a very rare occurrence in today's world - so seize it with both hands."

"Having experienced the gorgeous La Bourdette 3 times, lastly in summer 2019, it has always been a delight. This is a much loved family house, that feels private and safe, with excellent on site guardians. A classic French, rural setting, soothingly quiet, yet not isolated, just an hour from Toulouse and with charming villages (some large) nearby for local food, markets and local life. The house and buildings are beautifully kept, spacious with superb comfort (plus good wi fi) and full of character, art and antiques that reflect excellent taste with a good dose of fun and sense of humour. There is a lovely pool, tennis court and 'bouladrome' and grounds that are large, generously planted with trees , perfect for a stroll at any time. 10/10!"

"La Bourdette is quite simply heaven on earth with dreams of a perfect family holiday found and answered. From the moment you arrive, you realise you are somewhere very special and styish, a house that is a much loved family home and a house that charms. The hub is the substantial kitchen and dining room and the large Lacanche range, and two dishwashers ensure that 'the engine room' runs smoothly. The bedrooms are all delightful, all different, with shutters, lazy fans above 'proper beds' the kind one has to climb up into and made up with pristine white linen. Outside, a large dining terrace, overlooking the garden but sheltered from the sun by an established vine cover, is a peaceful setting for long late lunches and the balcony overlooking the pool, and open to the night sky, provides the perfect evening supper spot. The feeling of space continues: from the pool to the boule pitch, tennis court, pond and glades that surround it, the substantial grounds offering views of the outlying fields and Pyrénées in the far distance. Necessary Wi Fi and mobile connections at La Bourdette are excellent for those who cannot completely leave the outside world at the gate. Food is incredibly important on holiday and no more so than in France where baguette and croissant are sacrosanct. The boulangerie in the nearby village of Daumazon does not disappoint and there are excellent restaurants in nearby villages all with a very local atmosphere. A magical house, in a magical setting - entrancing!"

"We had a wonderful holiday at La Bourdette this summer. The house is very special, very private and an absolute beauty. It is surrounded by fields of sunflowers and set in acres of parkland with pretty gardens and planting. It has so much to offer - gorgeous pool, tennis court, pétamque, table tennis and lovely walks. La Bourdette is stylish and furnished with great flair. It has interesting objets d'art and pictures that make it an utterly charming holiday house. It has been thoughtfully amnd lovingly restored and is very comfortable. La Bourdette is perfect for gatherings, celebrations and cosy family holidays! Nearby there are lovely villages to explore and markets to wander around. We had the most marvellous time and highly recommend La Bourdette for a holiday. Also its not far from Toulouse airport!"

"La Bourdette is the most wonderful place to stay with friends, family or both. There's lots to do at the house and also in the surrounding area, so its fun to explore or just stay put and enjoy what the property has to offer. Its only an hour from Toulouse airport and picking up a hire car is cheap and easy. From the moment you arrive via the beautiful tree lined drive you know you've come to somewhere very special. The main house is a large, traditional French 'Maison de Maitre' with spacious accommodation which has been extremely tastefully decorated by the owners, each room filled with beautiful furniture and ornaments. The bedrooms are all a good size and extremely comfortable with well appointed bathrooms. The kitchen is large and fully equipped with an adjoining utility room. Outside there is a fantastic swimming pool, tennis court and boule pitch. Also many places to sit with a book, a glass of wine and simply soak up the peace and serenity of the large garden and grounds. A large pool house is nearby with a small kitchen, games room and charming upstairs balcony for any time dining. There are local markets an easy drive away and the Pyrénées can be seen in the distance. A stunning place and we look forward to our next visit as we loved it so much."

"We were lucky enough to be asked to stay at La Bourdette this summer, and it comfortably surpassed our already high expectations. As veterans of many a family holiday in assorted chateaux, villas and 'gites' over the past two decades, La Bourdette has shot straight to the top of our 'favourites' list, and we can't wait to return. Over the last 10 years or more, this property has been lovingly restored to its former glory - and then some! It now sleeps up to 16, and so is perfect for holidaying with other families and friends. In terms of facilities, La Bourdette has virtually everything you could possibly want to keep everyone occupied from small child to adult. The stunning swimming pool is served by a pool house cleverly converted from an old outbuilding with a games room on the ground floor, a bedroom and a chill-out area upstairs, and a balcony overlooking the pool which is ideal for candlelit dinners. Elsewhere in the extensive grounds is a tennis court, and a 'boules' pitch – the latter a perfect meeting place for drinks at sunset! La Bourdette is less than an hour's drive from Toulouse airport, and is set in idyllic French countryside. The nearby village has a great 'boulangerie' for croissants and bread, and we tried out several lovely little bars and restaurants in the area during our stay. There is so much to explore in the vicinity, and excellent shopping in St Girons. We could go on and on, but suffice to say that La Bourdette is an absolute gem."

"We had the best possible holiday with our large family at La Bourdette this August. The house was magic. It is filled with a lifetime of wonderful memories popping out of every newly discovered corner. "Passing through the gate and along the tree-lined drive, it was love at first sight; immediately, we all felt we were entering someone's much-loved home and not a standard rental villa. We were a party of adults and children wanting activity combined with a little peace and I can honestly say that everyone was more than satisfied! The house is charming: a big well-appointed kitchen, full of personal items, a large shady terrace - one of several outdoor dining areas, an elegant drawing room, gorgeous bedrooms tastefully decorated, plenty of well-appointed bathrooms, and the whole house exuding homeliness, style and comfort. Outside, a fabulous pool surrounded by beautiful flowers, an extremely well-appointed pool house with table tennis and football, and with upstairs, a sitting room for those wanting to escape the sun. A large balcony overlooking the pool provided another venue for eating outside. Throughout the charming and spectacularly planted grounds there were many peaceful little corners, having a pre-supper drink by the boules court was another huge pleasure, with a superb tennis court, surrounded by beautiful trees only a short walk from the house. It is a testament to how much we loved the place that we were never really tempted to go on outings. The local villages and surrounding markets supplied all our needs and we were happy to enjoy everything that this spectacularly special place has to offer. A truly memorable holiday which exceeded all our expectations - we cannot recommend La Bourdette highly enough!"
